While visiting a store he witnessed a selfless act by one dog in aid of another he thought was in distress.
Recently Dmitriy Timchenko was visiting a local store near the town of Novorossiysk, Russia. While walking in he noticed a Pit Bull tied up out the front that had been left by its owner while she was inside shopping. However, it was the stray dog passing by that really caught his eye, and then the scene of canine solidarity that followed.
This dog seemed particularly concerned that the Pit Bull was tied to a fence, perhaps thinking him abandoned, just like him.
“I’ve seen this stray dog around town many times,” Timchenko said to The Dodo. “He always uses the crosswalk to cross the street. He’s a very smart dog.”
It would appear this dog is not only smart but capable of showing empathy as well. As while Dmitriy looked on the stray dog walked up to the Pit Bull and tried to loosen the lead that was tied to the fence. In no time the Pit Bull was free and off on an adventure with his new stray friend.

Timchenko and his friend quickly intervened before the pet could get too far away with his new friend. After all, the pit bull’s owner would’ve wondered where he went.
“We went into the store and called the owner on the loudspeaker,” Timchenko said. “She came outside to get her dog.”
While the pit bull wasn’t abandoned or in any danger, it was clear that the stray’s heart was in the right place when he made the choice to free his fellow dog.
The sweet-natured stray’s origins aren’t known, but Timchenko noted that he looked to be in good health even though the dog was living on the streets.
Regardless, hopefully, one day soon that adorably kind dog will have a change of luck and get adopted into a loving and forever home of his own.
