“You Ain’t Nothing But A Hound Dog!”

When they first brought him home they noticed something right away, a fascination for the piano that blossomed into something more vocal!

When he got older he began to stand on his hind legs and play, then howl along to the notes. Both his owners, Laurie and Glen, are prepared to swear this was something he did completely on his own.

Named Buddy Mercury, after Glen’s favorite lead singer, Queen’s Freddie Mercury, Buddy can’t get enough of pounding the keys. He lives in Ronkonkoma, Long Island with his parents and his baby sister, Eve.

Just like his namesake did in the late 1970s this beagle-basset hound mix’s fame is spreading, all because of his self-taught unique talent. His musical genius is capturing fans right across the length and breadth of the internet.

The Wolfes enjoyed Buddy’s concerts so much the starting share is performance online where he instantaneously became an online sensation with his shows going viral. Even more so when his backup guitarist/dancer shares the stage.

In one of Buddy’s most popular uploads, precious Eve can be seen clutching a toy guitar and bumping her tiny hips from side to side as her furry brother taps the piano keys and howls his little heart out.

Pointing out Laurie and Glen’s luck, one viewer wrote, “Super talented Buddy & baby! You have a dog prodigy & a baby dancer…what could be more exciting?”

If you’re like us, you could watch these two jam all day. That’s what the Wolfes want from the public, but it’s not because they’re trying to become famous. They’re hoping Buddy’s videos will spread awareness about animals who need good homes.

“We want to help more animals get rescued,” Laurie said. “We only have so much space in our home.”
