This Dog Has A Favorite Toy, All He Needs Is A Home To Go With It

He is lonely, so lonely he has developed a bond with a special toy of his. All he needs is a home, love, and attention both for him and his special toy.

Slim has been waiting for over a year for the right person to take him home. During that time he has developed a bond, a certain attachment to an inanimate object that he loves.

Slim loves his bucket, so much so it is never far from his side.

Rescue Me Ohio writes that Slim “loves his bucket and is lost without it!!”

Slim was found in an abandoned house, scared, starving at the limits of what he could take. The Pit Bull mix was taken to Ashland County Dog Shelter in Ohio, where he has remained.

About four to five years old, the Pit Bull mix is full of energy, though he does have some issues when it comes to guarding food. Hardly surprising considering he was so emaciated when he was found. Volunteers have worked hard to curb this behavior.

He sits as any good gentleman should, and waits politely for any treats offered, though he does need to work on his leash manners a little, he is quite a strong boy.

Rescue Me Ohio also say that, “he is anxious in the shelter and has destroyed most of the toys he’s been given. But his favorite toy is his Bucket!!! He loves his bucket and is lost without it!”

After waiting with his bucket for a little bit longer, Slim was taken in to foster care by Forget Me Not Animal Rescue at the end of October 2015. They took him in and began training him and working on finding him a permanent home.

Slim is loving life with his new foster family so much he hasn’t had time to play with his bucket. He likes his bed. He likes all the attention he’s getting.

And he likes all the positive training he’s getting.
