After Being Told To Wait, The Next Morning They Found The Puppy Crying In Pain!

Dogs are so loyal and trusting of their owners, however, one dog was rewarded for this trust in a horrific way.

Danielle Carreon of Mascotte, Lake County wanted to return her Chihuahua-mix puppy to the shelter from where she got it only to find the shelter closed. She then called 911 asking if someone could come to take the puppy off her hands, and was told to wait till tomorrow morning to return the pup.

The following morning when she returned the puppy the staff were shocked by the condition it was in. The poor thing was having trouble walking and was crying in pain.

Instead of waiting for the shelter to open as instructed Carreon and thrown the puppy over a 6-foot high fence! She reportedly told authorities the 911 responder had instructed her to do so. Replaying the call authorities found her to be one hell of a liar.

Carreon can actually be heard telling the responder that she was a homeless woman and could not care for the puppy. There were no instructions to throw a dog over a fence whatsoever! Staff told her about the dog’s injuries from being tossed, but she told them it had already had a broken foot, and that its hip was separated at birth. This was in all likelihood just another lie.

Carreon was arrested and charged with aggravated animal abuse by the police. Aggravated Animal Cruelty can be a 3rd-degree felony in the state of Florida.

Anyone charged can be imprisoned up to 5 years and a fine up to $10,000.00. Prior to this, she has been arrested multiple times already.

The puppy was named “Little Bit” by the shelter workers and was treated for her injuries. She is still in pain and sore all over, but she is expected to fully recover.

It was a relief that she did not get any fractured bones or open wounds. Little Bit will stay in the Lake County shelter for a while before being allowed to be adopted as she is alive evidence for the case.
