She Walked 100 Miles To Be With The People Who Showed Her Kindness!

They found her on the streets and nursed her back to health, she didn’t forget this act of kindness.

They find her starving and pregnant on the streets of Rivadavia, Argentina. They took her in and fed her, nursed her back to health, and helped her take care of her puppies too.

Once they were weaned they found them all new homes, and also a new home for Negrita too. They felt they were too old to take care of a dog long-term so felt they were doing the right thing.

They made contact with a friend in a nearby town, Jachal, to make the necessary arrangements to take Negrita to her new family.

However, two weeks later the elderly couple got a call from their friend telling them that Negrita had disappeared. Her new owner had searched for her, but the dog was nowhere to be found.

More time passed, until one day the old couple was surprised to find Negrita at their doorstep! The dog had trekked 161 kilometres (over 100 miles) back to Rivadavia to return to them.

Her long walk had worn her out. Her paw pads were full of sores and she was exhausted and thirsty. According to Minuto Uno, the day she came back, she drank a whole bucket of water and slept for 24 hours straight.

The elderly couple let their friend know Negrita was back with them, and although the friend offered to come and pick her up, the couple decided they could not part with her again. Negrita was home to stay!
