Internet Legend Makes Her Final Journey

An internet legend, probably the internets biggest feline legend has passed on!

Grumpy Cat, AKA Tartar Sauce passed away a few days ago on Tuesday, May 14. She had been suffering from a urinary tract infection from which complications spread, taking her life at the tender age of 7.

A Calico cross she actually had feline dwarfism which helped with her very set expression of grumpiness, making her an online star, or as others like to say – internet sensation.

Her owners made the official statement on Friday using Grumpy Cats own favorite platform of social media.

“Despite care from top professionals, as well as from her very loving family, Grumpy encountered complications from a recent urinary tract infection that unfortunately became too tough for her to overcome,” the family stated in a statement on Grumpy Cat’s social media page.

“Besides being our baby and a cherished member of the family, Grumpy Cat has helped millions of people smile all around the world – even when times were tough. Her spirit will continue to live on through her fans everywhere.”
