Hearing Strange Noises From A Deserted Island He Couldn’t Believe What He Saw?

Out boating near Manitoba, he became concerned after hearing strange noises coming from a nearby island. Going back to investigate he couldn’t believe what he saw!

Canadian boater Junior Cook was out on the water near Cross Keys, Manitoba when he heard some weird noises coming from a nearby uninhabited island.

He went back the next day to check out what the noises might be? Nearing the beach he couldn’t believe it when no less than seven puppies rushed toward him barking in desperation.

Very concerned Junior called Norway House Animal Rescue, they responded right away. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case in Manitoba, the rescue does as much as it can to transport unwanted cats and dogs to shelters os they can be adopted.

The first order of business was to arrange food and fresh water for the puppies until some sort of transport could be arranged to take them off the island.

You can watch the rescue in the video right here below.

Food was supplied to the puppies by the rescue, so hungry they consumed one whole bag of dog food in a single day, it was not a small bag! Clearly hungry, they come running every time they saw Junior’s boat. With more and more visits the puppies began to warm up to people, a good thing as they were terrified, to begin with.

The seven castaway pups were finally taken off the island, then they traveled 330 odd miles to Winnipeg where they will be placed for adoption.

“They will be the Gilligan’s Island crew — four boys, three girls,” Deb Vandekerkhove, director of Norway House Animal Rescue states. The puppies were named after characters on the popular 1960’s TV show.

Of course, it took a few days to see which personality each puppy had to match up a name. Skipper, Gilligan, Mary-Anne, The Professor, Ginger, Lovey, and Mr. Howell are all looking for their forever homes. “They are receiving medical treatment for lice, tapeworm, and malnourishment at this time and will be placed up for adoption when healthy,” posted Winnipeg Pet Rescue. Norway House Animal Rescue is seeking justice for the abandoned puppies. They are asking the public for help in finding the heartless person that left the puppies on the island to die.
