Dumped In A Park And Left To Die!

He had been dumped in a park, skin, and bone it was clear he had been left to die. But this dog was a fighter.

He couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw him, Officer Ron had received a call regarding a dog dumped in a Pennsylvania park, and now he saw one of the most shocking cases of animal neglect, and it took his breath away.

He was literally skin and bone, barely able to just lift his head. He straight away called Providence Animal Center and rushed the poor dog to the medical center. He told the vets to save his life.

It was soon after the Providence Animal Center posted a story about Sly with the headline “Meet Our Fighter.” Vets Dr. Croce and Boudwin went to work right away to try and save Sly’s life. The poor dog was only 50 pounds, about half of what he should be.

His stomach had been shaved, it appeared as though he had had an ultrasound. After doing an X-ray they found a rope toy had been blocking his intestinal system.

Sly made it through surgery and recovered in a 24-hour emergency clinic.

The next day, Sly was feeling better. He was standing on his own and even wagged his tail. He knew that he was in good hands. He returned to Providence Animal Center to continue his treatment.

Sly is now in foster care with one of the vets that saved his life, Dr. Croce. The vet and his family are taking great care of Sly. The vets are optimistic he will make a full recovery. For now, he is assisted with towels to help him walk until he gains more strength.
